Al  Heinrich has had an interest in physical fitness for many years beginning with  Tae Kwan Do at age 5.  Over the  years, Al has looked at and experienced many types of physical self-improvement  methods finding strong interest in the martial arts of Shaolin Kempo  Karate, Western Boxing, and Jeet Kune Do.

Under Eric  Wnek of Elite Jeet Kune Do LLC, Al is certified as an Apprentice Instructor to teach  Jeet Kune Do Concepts & The Filipino Martial Arts.  Al currently holds a green belt with a  stripe in Shaolin Kempo Karate and is working advancement to achieve his  Black Belt.

Besides teaching mixed martial  arts to his private students, Al helps teach Western Boxing at the University of  Connecticut and substitutes when the lead instructor can not teach. Al  also attends JKD workshops given by Bruce Lee's original students, Guru Dan  Inosanto and Sifu Larry Hartsell, on a regular  basis. He has  trained a couple times with Sifu Larry privately and is a member of Sifu Larry's  Instructor's Association.
